Chongqing mini cruise
We were in Chongqing in August 2009 for a short visit. Chongqing is wellknown in China as embarking port for cruise ships on the Yangtze River. Ships from Chongqing are sailing to Yichang , Wuhan and Shanghai.
Our time was limited but with our small boat we got a little bit the feeling of making a real cruise. Fare was 40 Yuan p.p for an one hour journey. Tickets were sold by vendors near the boat at Chaotianmen Dock. Chaotianmen Dock is 2 kilometers from downtown where the cruise boats are waiting for their passengers.

There were not many people aboard; most of them were sitting inside. The temperature outside was 38/40 degrees. Chongqing is one of the hottest cities in China.
