Victoria Peak
Also known as The Peak. The Peak is one of the top tourist attractions in Hong Kong with 7 million visitors a year. The mountain offers spectacular views over central Hong Kong and Victoria Harbour. Opening hours Peak Tower & Sky Terrace: 10.00 to 23.00 (Mon – Fri) and 8.00 to 23.00 Sat, Sun & Public Holidays.
Peak tram & Sky Terrace
Many tourists travel to the Peak by the Peak Tram, a funicular railway. The route is 1400 meter and the tram brings the visitors 400 meter higher to the end terminus the Peak Tower. The Peak Tram Sky Pass cost HKD48. This is a return ticket with the tram + entrance to the Sky Terrace. The Peak Tower has several terraces. The terrace on the roof of the building is the Sky Terrace. The views from this terrace are the best.
The lower terminus station is located on Garden Road near Hong Kong Park. Nearest metro station is the station in Central entrance Chater Road. In the Peak Tower are many small shops selling tourist items and a few restaurants including a KFC. In the building opposite the Peak Tower are also shops and restaurants. Between both buildings – at the square – is an old tram with inside a tourist information office. Besides the Peak Tram it is also possible to go to the Peak Tower by bus or taxi. Bus No. 15 is leaving from Central, Pier 5 to The Peak. Fare is HKD10.
