There are many good hotels in Beijing that it is hard to make a choice. I chosed the 4 star Plaza hotel because the rooms have broadband internet and a good room rate/quality.

The location of the Plaza Hotel is in the South-East of Beijing on the East3rd Ring and in the CBD business area. The hotel has 19 floors and 218 rooms and is near a large curio and folk artwork market.

Compared with the Harmony Hotel , where we stayed before, the Plaza Hotel rooms were better and larger with a fine bathroom and excellent shower. Also the room had a small workdesk with a good internet connection. The roomrate for the Plaza hotel is 480 Yuan, the room rate for the Harmony hotel is 348 Yuan.

In the hotel itself and surroundings was not much to do. In the lounge were allways none or just a few people. The breakfast room/restaurant was small but okay. In our rate was the breakfast included. (in China most times for one person: you have to pay separately for the breakfast of the second person) In the evening we went with the taxi to a Chinese restaurant or the Pizzahut in the Wangfujing area. Because the hotel is not downtown it took some time to get there.(traffic).
