Nanjing Road is the main shopping road in Shanghai. It is a long street with a length of several kilometres.

It comprises two sections: Nanjing Road East and Nanjing Road West. The East section is from People Square to the Bund. Over 1 million visitors come daily to Nanjing Rd.

Nanjing Road has 3 metro stations: - Nanjing Rd East; in the middle of the east section and closest to the Bund
- Nanjing Rd West; close to People's Square
- Jingan Temple; in the far western section of Nanjing Road
