Hongqiao airport is 13km from Shanghai downtown. The airport has buses to Hangzhou, Suzhou and Nanjing. Buses can be found at the No.2 parking lot close to terminal B.

Shanghai Long Distance General Bus Station
In 2005 Asia’s largest long distance bus station has been opened in Shanghai. In the waiting lounge can seat 3000 passengers. Buses to East China but also to Guangdong, Sichuan and Yunnan. Location is in Zhongxing Road around the north square of Shanghai Railway Station in Zhabei District.
Beiqu Long-Distance Bus Station
Buses to Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Suzhou, Wuhan and many other cities in the provinces Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Henan and Zhejiang. Address: Gongxing Road 80, Zhabei District. Metro line 3 and 4.
Hutai Road Long-Distance Bus Station
Buses to Qingdao, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Wuhan. Tourist buses to Mt. Huangshan, Mt. Jiuhuashan and Wuzhen. Address: North Zhongshan Road, Zhabei District.
Shanghai Hengfeng Long Distance Bus Station

There are more than 1000 bus lines in Shanghai.
As everywhere in China, buses are the cheapest form of transportation but very crowded. A ticket would cost 1 Yuan for a journey less than 13 km. Air-conditioning buses ask 2 Yuan.
There are several airport bus lines from Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport.
It is about 30 kilometers From Pudong Airport to downtown Shanghai and 13km from Hongqiao to the city center.
