Our son and daughter standing at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It's the largest square in the world: 440,000 square metres. On the square is also the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. In the background of the photo you see the main gate of the Forbidden City.

Along the west side of the Square is the Great Hall of the People. Along the other side is the National Museum of Chinese History.

It was quit hot that day (end of July) Temperature was about 35 degrees. Many Chinese have therefore an umbrella or parasol to protect themselves against the heath.(so did we)
