Xiamen International Airport is located on the North-East of Xiamen island. It's one of the largest airports in China with 58 domestic flights. It's also connected with Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
The airport is 14km from the Waterfront District. The Airport Shuttle Bus is just outside the Arrival Hall, about 5 minutes walk. The fare is 6 Yuan. The Bus Station is 10-15 minutes walk.

There are 5 bus routes to Xiamen. Bus 27 goes to the Ferry Station, bus 37 to the train station and bus 91 to the Exhibition Center. - taxis
Start rate is 8 Yuan for the first 3 kilometer. Additional rate is 2 Yuan/km. When the ride is longer as 8 km there will be added a 50% surcharge. Rate from the airport to the city is around 40-50 Yuan. - train
A bridge connects Xiamen Island with the mainland. For this reason, train transport has not developed much. A few lines:
