Zhengzhou
Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan Province in the middle of China. It is an industrial city (textiles, tractors, locomotives, machinery). Because of its location in China, the city became also an important national transportation center. The urban population is 3.5 million: on a prefecture level it's allmost 9 million people.

Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport has flights to the main cities in China and to Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and Korea. Distance form the airport to the city is about 37 km. Fare for the airport shuttle bus is 15 Yuan. A taxi is about 100 Yuan.

Fastest train from Zhengzhou to Xian is the high-speed train from Guangzhou; it goes nonstop to Xian. To travel from Zhengzhou to Xian with train G97 is 2hours and 2 minutes (505km). Fare is 230-370 Yuan for a soft seat.
bus
The main bus station is opposite Zhengzhou railway station. Buses with destinations in Henan Province (Luoyang, Shaolin Temple) and outside Henan Province (Tianjin, Shijiazhuang,Dalian,Urumqi, Lanzhou and Chengdu).

- Song Mountain: many temples are here including the well-known Shaolin Temple. Song Mountain is 50km from Zengzhou. Buses depart from bus station near rail way station.
- Shaolin Temple: Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Gongfu
