Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan Province in the middle of China. It is an industrial city (textiles, tractors, locomotives, machinery). Because of its location in China, the city became also an important national transportation center. The urban population of Zhengzhou is about 3 million people.
Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport has flights to the main cities in China and to flights to Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and Korea. Distance form the airport to the city is about 37 km. Airport shuttle bus is available(15Yuan). A taxi is at least 80-100Yuan.
Trains to Xian(8hhr), Beijing(8.5hr), Shanghai(14hr), and many other cities within and outside the province.
Zhengzhou has many (long distance) bus stations. The main one is the bus station, opposite the Zhengzhou train station. Destinations in Henan (Luoyang, Shaolin Temple) and outside Henan (Tianjin, Shijiazhuang,Dalian,Urumqi, Lanzhou and Chengdu)
