Yangtze river cruises can be booked at many Chinese tour operators. The most reliable agencies are member of the ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) and IATA. You need to pay a deposit to secure the booking with your creditcard or with Paypal.
The two largest ships on the Yangtze River are the President 7 and President 8 (147 meter). Cheapest cruise with this boat is a Deluxe Balcony Cabin (4 days, $369 per person). The Executive Cabin is available from $519 and the Presidential Suite cost $1339. The President 8 can take 460 passengers. There is a Chinese- and Western Buffet in the morning and afternoon. A standard Deluxe Cabin has a seize of 27 m2 with a private balcony.
Downstream or upstream
Passengers can sail to different cities and hve the choice between downstream or upstream. Downstream means from Chongqing to Shanghai. Upstream is the other direction. The longest Yangtze River cruise is a nine-day cruise from Shanghai to Chongqing.
