Suzhou has a small airport. Daily flight to Foshan.
Allmost all tourists come to Suzhou by train or bus.
bus
Many tourists fly to Shanghai and take from Shanghai airport the bus to Suzhou. Travel time with the Pudong Airport bus is 2.5 hour,150 Km,82 Yuan,service between 10:50/18:50
Travel time with the Hongqiao Airport bus is 1.5 hour,90 Km, 52 Yuan, service between 10:00/20:00
Near the Shanghai main train station is the largest long distance bus station of China. Departures to Suzhou: between 7.20 and 18.30. About every half an hour a bus is leaving. Fare is 26-30 Yuan.
train
Suzhou is between Beijing and Shanghai. Therefore more than 20 trains stop everyday in Suzhou train station. With the express train from Shanghai to Suzhou takes about 70 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased on the station or hotel.

Start rate is 10 Yuan for the first 3 km.
1.8 Yuan/km will be added if the ride is between 3 and 5 km
2.7 Yuan/km will be added after 5 km.
gardens
The gardens in Suzhou attracts tourists worldwide and have a history of 1500 years. In 1997, the Suzhou classical gardens were listed as world cultural heritage by UNESCO Heritage Committee. The Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou (51,950 sq.m).
