Lijiang, the Wanggu Pagoda

    Wanggu Pagoda can easily be reached from Sifan Square. The pagoda is situated at Lion Hill in a small park and has excellent views over Lijiang. The tower is 4 stories high. Inside are a few stalls selling cards,books and souvenirs.

    However there are not many visitors. The reason is that besides the admission fee of 15 Yuan, you also have to pay another ticket of 80 Yuan p.p for the 'preservation of Lijiang Old City'.This is some government tax. We understood that this second ticket is necessary for the entrance of many attractions in Lijiang besides their normal admission fees. We used it afterwards to get inside of the Black Dragon Park (Heilongtan).
